My God, You say to me in Your Word, “I, even I, am he who comforts you” (Isa. 51:12). Thank You, Lord! Help me to sense and respond to Your comfort.

Lord, You offer to rescue those who love You and protect those who acknowledge Your name. I will call upon You, and You will answer me; You will be with me in trouble, You will deliver me and honor me. Lord, I ask You to satisfy me with long life and show me Your salvation (Ps. 91:14-16).

Heal me, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are the One I praise. How I celebrate the fact that You have not run away from being my shepherd; You have not desired the day of despair (Jer. 17:14, 16).
